ABOUT

​Captain David Candy started his Fire Service career in June of 1984 as a volunteer Firefighter at the Sussex Fire Department. David transitioned to the career fire service at Riverview Fire & Rescue as a Firefighter/Paramedic in March of 2003 and is currently a Captain with Platoon #3. David has been a strong advocate for firefighter safety and is a member of the Joint Health and Safety committee.

 

David began teaching with the NBCC in 1990 and has also taught with the Atlantic Paramedic Academy, Canadian Red Cross and launched DCI in 2017.

 

David is a graduate of the Dalhousie Fire Service Leadership and Fire Service Administrative programs.
